Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Stratum Scale ("Stratum Scale", "we", "our", or "us") is a Minnesota-based automation operator. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you visit this website, submit a lead form, or communicate with us.

2. Information We Collect

We collect business-contact and operational data, including:

  • Identity and contact details: name, work email, company, phone, and communication preferences.
  • Commercial context: industry, requested service, workflow details, and implementation needs.
  • Communications: emails, form submissions, meeting notes, and support conversations.
  • Technical and security data: IP address, user agent, timestamps, referral path, and server security logs.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment card data, medical records, or other highly sensitive personal data through our public forms.

3. Lead Data Storage and Internal Use

Lead submissions are saved. When you submit a form, your information may be stored in our website database, sent to internal notification channels, and synchronized to our CRM/workflow systems so we can process requests and manage follow-up.

  • We use lead records to evaluate fit, reply to requests, scope projects, and maintain a business contact history.
  • We keep basic submission metadata for anti-spam, fraud prevention, incident response, and audit integrity.
  • We do not sell lead data for monetary consideration.

4. How We Use Personal Information

  • Deliver requested information, proposals, implementation support, and account communications.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve website and service performance.
  • Detect abuse, unauthorized activity, and policy violations.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and resolve disputes.

5. Disclosure Categories

We disclose personal information only when needed to run the business and comply with law, including to:

  • Hosting, infrastructure, security, CRM, and communications vendors acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisors (for example legal or accounting) under confidentiality obligations.
  • Government authorities or law enforcement when legally required.
  • A successor entity in a permitted business transfer.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use technical mechanisms necessary for core website operation, security, and load performance. As of the Last Updated date, we do not run cross-context behavioral advertising on this site and do not sell personal data. If our tracking practices materially change, we will update this policy first.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for business operations, contract administration, legal compliance, recordkeeping, and security. We do not guarantee automatic deletion at a fixed interval.

When data is no longer required, we delete it, de-identify it, or restrict it according to operational and legal requirements.

8. Security Safeguards

We apply administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure risk. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Minnesota and U.S. State Privacy Rights

Minnesota's Consumer Data Privacy Act (MCDPA), Minn. Stat. Chapter 325M, includes applicability thresholds (for example, controllers processing data of 100,000+ consumers, or 25,000+ consumers when over 25% of gross revenue is from sale of personal data). If and when those obligations apply to us, we will honor the rights and notice requirements set out in that law.

Where applicable, you may request: confirmation/access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

We also make reasonable efforts to honor valid privacy requests even when a specific state law does not formally apply.

10. Rights Requests and Appeals

Submit privacy requests to contact@stratumscale.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Include enough detail for us to locate your records.

  • We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
  • For requests governed by MCDPA, we target the statutory response windows (typically 45 days, with one allowed extension when permitted).
  • If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the denial email with subject line "Privacy Appeal."

11. Minnesota Data Breach Notice

If a security incident triggers notice obligations under Minn. Stat. ยง 325E.61, we provide notice without unreasonable delay, consistent with law-enforcement delay exceptions and other statutory requirements. When required by Minnesota law, we will also notify the Minnesota Attorney General.

12. Email and Marketing Communications

Business emails may include service updates, follow-ups, and operational notices. You can opt out of non-essential marketing messages using unsubscribe instructions or by emailing us at contact@stratumscale.com.

13. Children and International Use

This site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We primarily operate in the United States; by using this site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in U.S. systems.

14. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted with a revised "Last Updated" date.
